FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Thank you for your interest in The Yoga Room! This FAQ will give you some information about our studio and how to prepare for your first yoga class.

I’ve never practiced yoga before.  Which classes are beginner friendly?

Beginners are welcome in Gentle and Moderate classes. Strong classes are appropriate for people who are familiar with a variety of yoga poses.  Please read the Class Descriptions for more information.

Another option for beginners is our Beginners Series and Prenatal Series. Many of our Workshops and Series are also beginner-friendly.

Do I need to make a reservation to attend a class?

Reservations are not required for classes on our Class Schedule – you’re welcome to drop in for any class. On the day of your first class, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign in, fill out a New Student Form, and get settled. If you’d like to fill out the form ahead of time, you can print our New Student Form and bring it with you.

If you are interested in attending a Workshop or Series, Beginners Series, and/or Prenatal Series, you’ll need to register in advance to reserve your spot.

How much does it cost?

We offer a 1 Month New Student Membership for just $45! With this pass, new students can attend unlimited classes on our Class Schedule for one month. After the first month concludes, you can choose to become a Member or select one of our A La Carte class packs. Learn more about Class Pricing and which option may be best for you here.

Do you offer a Military discount?

To honor their service, we offer a Military discount for active and retired Military service people and their families. Just present your Military ID for 10% off all Yoga services including Classes, Beginners Series, Private Instruction, and Workshops & Series.

How long is each class?

All of our classes are 1 hour long unless otherwise noted.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat?

If you have a yoga mat, please bring it with you to class.  Most people prefer to have their own yoga mat for hygienic reasons.

We have rental yoga mats available for a $2 fee. The fee is waived for participants of the Beginners Series and during the First Week Unlimited Pass.

If you use one of our mats, please sanitize it after class with the mat spray available in the mat basket.

What should I wear?

Wear modest clothes that allow you free range of motion, such as yoga pants or sweat pants and a t-shirt or tank top.

Please avoid smoking before class or wearing perfume or scented lotions, creams, oils, or sprays, as some people are sensitive or allergic to certain scents.

Yoga is typically practiced with bare feet.  Please remove your shoes when you enter the studio to help keep the floors clean for everyone.  You can place your shoes on our shoe shelf in the lobby. Other personal items can be stored in the cubbies in the yoga studio.

Please remember to silence your cell phone by turning it off or putting it in airplane mode. Putting the phone on vibrate is not enough because everyone can hear the phone vibrate during the quiet yoga class.

For additional information, please see our Yoga Etiquette tips below.

Is there anything else I need to bring?

You might like to bring a bottle of water for after class.

Where is The Yoga Room located?

The Yoga Room is located in Round Rock at 503 E. Palm Valley Blvd. (US-79). We’re in a two story red brick building that is shared with Patriot Dental and Round Rock Orthodontics. We are upstairs in Suite 220.

I have a question not covered by this FAQ. Who can I ask?

Please contact us at 512-318-2112 or info@rryogaroom.com. We will be happy to answer your question or provide any additional information you may require.

We look forward to meeting you!

YOGA ETIQUETTE

  • Remove your shoes and place them on the shelf in the lobby upon entering the studio. Other personal belongings may be placed in the cubbies inside each classroom for safe keeping during class.

  • Arrive a few minutes before your class. Late arrivals are disruptive to the teacher and the students who have set down their mats and settled in for practice.

  • Leave your cell phone in your car or make sure it is turned to off or airplane mode. Vibrating cellphones can be distracting during class. (Medical professionals who are on call are an exception to this guideline.)

  • Wear modest clothing for yoga practice. Yoga pants or medium to long length shorts and a t-shirt or tank top are appropriate. Please note the opacity of the fabrics you wear. Some thinner fabrics become transparent when stretched.

  • Refrain from chewing gum during class. Chewing gum disrupts your breathing and creates a distraction from your practice.

  • Refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, scented lotions, or other strong scents. Your classmates may be sensitive or allergic.

  • Be respectful of others’ yoga mats and do not step on them without permission.
