How Often Should I Practice Yoga?
To gain the most mind-body-spirit benefit from yoga, you should ideally practice 4-5 times per week. That said, in our busy world it’s not always practical to make it to the yoga studio 4-5 times per week, but you can reach that goal with a combination of in-studio and at-home practices.
It’s also important to note that some yoga is better than no yoga. So if you find you can only practice 1-2 times per week, that is definitely much better than not practicing at all!
Yoga philosophy teaches us the concept of vairagya, non-attachment. Vairagya means that we should always do our best, but we should not be attached to the outcome of our effort. If we apply the concept of vairagya to the question of how often we should practice yoga, we understand that we should do our best to reach the goal of 4-5 classes per week, but we should not be disappointed in ourselves if we do not achieve the goal; we can try again the following week.

New Students: Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first class so that you can fill out our New Student Form, or you can print it (please print double-sided if possible), fill it out, and bring it with you if you prefer.
Please plan to arrive 5 - 10 minutes before your class begins; late arrivals are disruptive to the teacher and fellow students. For more information about our late policy, please read this blog post.
If you have trouble getting up and down from the floor and you'd like to attend one of our Gentle classes, please call ahead and let us know when you're coming so we can have a platform set up and ready for you.
