Gabriela was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the great state of Texas in 2001. Since 2005, Gabriela has practiced yoga as a way to take care of her emotional and physical health. She believes that quieting the mind by with the breath, stretching out physical tightness, and tapping into inner strength can help a person feel restored and re-energized. In 2014, she enrolled in a yoga teacher training program to develop her own practice, and so that she share the benefits of yoga with others.
In Gabriela’s classes, she wants every student to be empowered to practice in a way that feels right to them. Her teaching style is grounded in the belief that yoga is for everybody. She enjoys helping students get past expectations of themselves and of others, and to just do what feels right. Her classes prioritize breathing, correct alignment, self-acceptance and self-love, and she encourages students to use props to help them get the most out of each pose and allow the breath to work its magic.
Gabriela loves to teach beginners, Individual Instruction, and Gentle and Restorative classes. She is also skilled at teaching prenatal yoga.
Outside of yoga, Gabriela enjoys being with her daughter, spending time outdoors, and participating in community activities with family and friends. Gabriela is fluent in Spanish and Italian.
