Jan is very interested in health and nutrition. She began practicing yoga in 2008 for stress management, while coping with her parent’s health issues and a high-pressure job. She learned that a regular yoga practice helped create balance in her life and body. Meditation strengthened her ability to be present, focused, and to maintain a calm presence during challenging moments.

She completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Room. The program’s therapeutic Hatha yoga style aligned with her goal of making yoga accessible and beneficial to everyone. Jan is also a certified restorative yoga teacher. Jan has been teaching yoga since 2015.

Yoga is a useful tool to achieve mindfulness and become aware of the present moment through physical, mental, and emotional engagement. Jan believes that a regular yoga practice can help everyone feel mentally and physically better, and become more effective in other aspects of life.

During her classes, Jan strives to create a safe and supportive environment for self-care and gratitude. Jan has a special interest in helping individuals relax through restorative yoga. She enjoys helping people experience the benefits of a regular yoga practice.

Jan is thankful to the many yoga teachers who have shared their wisdom and have helped her grow and develop her yoga practice. Jan has studied extensively with Judith Hanson Lasater. She has assisted Judith with Level 1 Relax and Renew® Restorative teacher trainings. Jan is honored to help others grow and develop their yoga practice.

Jan and her husband live near Round Rock, Texas.
