Lk has been a personal student of yoga for more than 15 years. Beginning with the study of Ashtanga yoga, she soon found Hatha Flow, Vinyasa and Yin styles of yoga to be extremely beneficial in providing for a well-rounded practice. Yoga has transformed her outlook on life and provided a deep sense of calmness and well-being.
Along her journey, she felt a calling to share the practice with others and completed a 200-hour Hatha teacher training program. The training focused heavily on safety and anatomy, providing a strong foundation for developing sequences suitable to many fitness levels and ages. She considers herself a life-long student of yoga and continues to pursue advanced training towards the 500-hour level.
As a teacher, Lk strives to provide a space of compassion and self-acceptance for students and help them find openness and flexibility through thoughtfully sequenced postures, breathing techniques and meditation.
In addition to teaching, Lk founded the Austin Yoga Hub and serves as the Executive Director for Community Yoga, a nonprofit organization that brings yoga to under-served and at-risk populations.
